We don't build campervans. We engineer bespoke expedition vehicles, precisely designed around the people who will live and work in them.
Our Work
a category of their own.

Featured Commission
Commissioned by Neil Laughton, ex-SAS officer, Everest summiteer and decorated British explorer, Apollo has also been used extensively by Bear Grylls. It is Wildbox's most celebrated build: a fully expedition-capable vehicle engineered for the most demanding environments on earth.

Bear Grylls
Explorer & Adventurer

Our Approach
Too many builds are designed for Instagram. Ours are designed to work: in deserts, on mountain passes, through winters, for decades.
We begin with a detailed brief covering how you'll use it, where you'll go, and who travels with you. Your vehicle is designed around your life, not a template.
Every system, from electrical to structural, is engineered to professional standards by qualified tradespeople. No YouTube tutorials. No guesswork.
From Ukrainian humanitarian missions to Bear Grylls expeditions, our vehicles have been trusted in conditions that demand total reliability.

"The Wildbox team built us something we couldn't find anywhere else. A vehicle built around the mission, not around a catalogue."

Is this for you?
Our clients are professionals, explorers, and people who understand the value of doing things properly.
Bespoke conversions from £50,000 — plus your base vehicle. Typical complete projects £100k–£150k including the van.
You're planning serious journeys: remote, extended, demanding. You need a vehicle that won't let you down 3,000 miles from home.
You work hard, you earn well, and you want your time away to be genuinely restorative. Your adventure vehicle should reflect that.
Film crews, production companies, wildlife photographers, journalists. Vehicles configured for professional field work. Reliable, practical, impressive.
You've owned campervans before. You know exactly what compromises you're tired of making. You're ready to commission something right.
How it works

A relaxed call with an engineer. We listen first: your life, your ambitions, your vision.
We produce a detailed technical brief, floor plan, and systems spec for your approval.
Your vehicle enters our Horsham workshop. We share updates throughout.
Full system testing covering electrical, gas and water, before we hand over the keys.
We walk you through every system in person. You leave confident and ready to go.
After handover
Our clients are busy people. Once your vehicle is handed over, Wildbox stays with you.
Every Wildbox commission comes with a comprehensive 5-year warranty covering workmanship, systems and installation. We build to a standard that makes this easy to offer, and we stand behind every build we deliver.
Our concierge service means you have a direct line to the Wildbox team whenever you need it. Servicing, system queries, upgrades, advice before a major trip. We're here. For clients who don't have time to deal with problems, that peace of mind is everything.

The people behind the build
Mark Cropley founded Wildbox with 25 years of specialist vehicle engineering behind him, including hundreds of vehicles built directly for the Ministry of Defence before turning his expertise to adventure vehicles. Known across the industry as The Van Conversion Expert, Mark was invited to judge the eBay Van Conversion of the Year awards alongside TV's George Clarke of Amazing Spaces.
When you commission a Wildbox, you work directly with Mark and the team throughout. No account managers, no handoffs, no sub-contractors. The same people who consult with you build your vehicle.
Based in Horsham, West Sussex. Working with clients across the UK.
