A roof platform is the foundation for the things you want to carry above the vehicle. Tell us what needs to go up there now, and what you might add later, so you do not choose a platform around just one weekend's kit.
Space for a tent
If sleeping up top is in the plan, say so before choosing the platform. The tent, brackets, platform and vehicle all need to be considered together.

Think about lighting, storage and other accessories as a complete arrangement, not just individual items. Mounting choices depend on the platform you select.

Arcane Warrior's exploded view makes the different mounting interfaces easier to understand. It shows where the platform can accept other pieces, rather than treating a roof rack as one fixed arrangement.
This is the manufacturer's US Defender 110 example. Its load ratings and dimensions are not specifications for every M'LinkX platform or UK vehicle. Check your exact setup before ordering.
Lighting that works with the platform
The same manufacturer page illustrates a front light bar kit and a rear scene light bar kit within its integrated lighting concept. Think about where you need light before deciding which additions belong on your build.
These lighting kits are optional, not included with every roof platform. Ask us to check availability, mounting and electrical requirements for your chosen vehicle and configuration.
